About The Position
Brock University is seeking a Marker/Grader for the APCO 1P00 Introduction to Media Computation course. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The role involves marking assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams, and providing written feedback to students. The marker-grader may also be expected to invigilate mid-terms and examinations or enter grades into databases. The course may be held virtually online and/or face to face, and the marker-grader must be able to perform in either format.
Requirements
- Must have completed APCO 1P00 (or equivalent in English) and attained a grade of 80% or higher.
- Graduate of or Major in Computer Science with a minimum major average of 75%.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven track record of working effectively with deadlines.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
- Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, including substantive content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization.
- Invigilate mid-terms and examinations for the course, at the request of the course instructor.
- Enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
