About The Position

Brock University is seeking a Marker-Grader for the MATH 1P70 Fall D2 course. This position involves marking assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams. The marker-grader will provide written feedback to students, identifying the basis of the grade assigned, whether due to substantive content, or written communications (spelling, punctuation, grammar, structure, and organization). The role may also include invigilating mid-terms and examinations, and entering grades into databases, as requested by the course instructor. This position is governed by the Collective Agreement for CUPE4207-1.

Requirements

• A grade of 80% or higher in MATH 1P70.
• Minimum of second-year complete in a Mathematics or Statistics program.
• Achieved an 'A' standing in at least 4 credits in Mathematics and/or Statistics.
• Ability to follow instructions and guidelines for marking assessments.
• Ability to meet deadlines set by the course instructor.

Responsibilities

• Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
• Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned.
• Invigilate mid-terms and examinations for the course, at the request of the course instructor.
• Enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
