About The Position

River Valley Marine is hiring a Marine Sales Professional / Boat Sales Specialist in Red Wing, MN. This role is for an experienced sales professional who thrives in high-value, relationship-based sales and wants to work with premium marine products in a growing lifestyle industry. The ideal candidate is driven, relationship-focused, and has a passion for boating, marine products, and the outdoor lake lifestyle, ready to build a long-term, high-earning career in boat sales. You will represent premium new and pre-owned boats, working with qualified buyers making significant recreational investments. As part of a Top 10 Marine Dealer in North America, you will benefit from strong inventory, marketing support, and a proven sales process. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in marine sales, automotive sales, RV sales, powersports, or luxury/high-ticket retail sales who are looking to grow their income and client base.

Requirements

  • Proven success in commission-based or high-ticket sales
  • Confident in building trust and long-term customer relationships
  • Motivated by performance, income growth, and closing deals
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers
  • Ability to learn and present technical product information
  • Self-driven, disciplined, and consistent in follow-up
  • Experience with CRM systems (Lightspeed / LightspeedEVO preferred)
  • Experience in marine sales, automotive sales, RV sales, powersports, or luxury/high-ticket retail sales

Responsibilities

  • Sell new and pre-owned boats and marine products in a consultative sales environment
  • Guide customers through the full buying journey from first contact to delivery and follow-up
  • Build long-term relationships that generate repeat and referral business
  • Develop deep product knowledge across boats, engines, features, and competing brands
  • Follow a structured, proven dealership sales process
  • Maintain a professional, organized, and premium showroom presentation
  • Consistently follow up with prospects and existing customers
  • Participate in boat shows, events, and dealership promotions
  • Collaborate with sales leadership and team members to achieve performance goals
  • Deliver a high-end customer experience aligned with the #RVPSExperience
