About The Position

The Marine Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting customers promptly and courteously, handling merchandise carefully, and providing information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining product knowledge, replenishing and restocking merchandise, maintaining pricing and signage, and assisting with seasonal floor moves. The outfitter helps customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and in-store pickup. The position works under general supervision and follows established procedures while using occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change.
• Ability to communicate with customers and associates in a friendly, professional manner.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale register system.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt customer service and contribute to a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Demonstrate products to customers and assist them with buying decisions by identifying needs and recommending products.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Remain knowledgeable about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines and as required.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
