Zipline is seeking a Maps Intern to contribute to and own portions of its Maps stack, which supports autonomous delivery operations. The Maps Team builds scalable tools and services that produce artifacts used by Zipline vehicles to plan and safely fly missions in the real world. The work may involve path-planning algorithms, validation of artifacts against flight requirements, spatial data generation, and data-transformation pipelines. The role supports multi-objective routing and efficient spatial-data ingestion and access, helping Zipline expand service to more customers around the world. The intern will learn how theoretical path-planning algorithms are adapted to real-world problems and how data and spatial search support aerial routing. This is a full-time, in-person internship at Zipline’s South San Francisco office. The Summer 2027 internship is scheduled to run during a period between May/June and August/September.
