Requirements

  • Associate degree in Manufacturing, Business, Engineering, or a related field; or Equivalent advanced manufacturing training; or Equivalent combination of manufacturing leadership experience and education.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Effective time management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with employees, peers, leadership, customers, and external contacts.
  • Experience using manufacturing systems and standard business software to complete daily activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Citizen of the United States, or Permanent resident alien of the United States, or Protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) as defined by 22CFR120.15

Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment through active observation, coaching, enforcement of safety policies, and communication of hazards to appropriate personnel.
  • Oversee daily production activities to ensure adherence to schedules, quality standards, and operational requirements.
  • Manage issues related to incoming materials through coordination with Quality Assurance and the Material Review Board (MRB) process.
  • Coordinate staffing levels and labor allocation to meet production demands and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with Production Control, Customer Service, Maintenance, Quality, and other support functions to address operational needs and changes.
  • Partner with other production leaders to share resources and support overall plant performance.
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems by verifying completion of required process, equipment, and product inspections.
  • Drive a culture of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Identify and support opportunities for process improvements that improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
  • Lead employee cross-training initiatives to develop a flexible and capable workforce.
  • Conduct employee coaching, performance management, corrective action, and disciplinary processes in accordance with company policies.
  • Manage labor, supplies, and departmental resources within established budget guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate production records, staffing documentation, overtime records, labor balancing reports, and other required administrative records.
  • Arrange coverage for employee absences and unexpected staffing challenges.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
