About The Position

Under general direction, the Manufacturing Supervisor ensures production requirements are met, appropriate staffing levels are maintained, employee relations are good, and a safe and clean work environment is maintained. The role plans, manages, and coordinates manufacturing activities to achieve established management goals. The position is identified as a third-shift role and is onsite.

Requirements

Manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

Train production personnel to perform work assignments safely and efficiently.
Maintain good employee relations through coaching and consistent application of employee relations policies.
Requisition operating personnel to meet established goals.
May facilitate employee team operations.
May maintain accurate database information regarding employee training and certification.
Review and coach employees in accordance with plant goals.
Properly administer production salary and wage policy for operating personnel.
Administer and enforce health, environmental, and safety standards, work practices, and housekeeping policies and procedures.
Arrange for proper maintenance of machines and equipment.
Report daily indicators, including production scrap and production per hour.
Investigate material variances, report investigation results, and recommend improvements.
Solicit and encourage process, procedure, and equipment improvements from team members.
Audit Standard Work Practices for each area and regularly review them for effectiveness through team meetings and practice.
Coordinate workflow with the Production Control department.
