About The Position

The Manufacturing Software Test Engineer (MSTE) develops and executes strategies for production test systems across vehicle assembly plants and supporting facilities to ensure electrical quality and prevent defects. The role oversees test system integrity, optimizes tester placement and coverage using the Electrical Bill of Operations (BoO), manufacturing requirements, and established best practices, and identifies and resolves testing and program risks. Working with cross-functional teams and using data-driven decisions, the MSTE supports improvements in Electrical First-Time Quality (E-FTQ), manufacturing efficiency, and throughput, helping deliver safe, high-quality, defect-free vehicles. The MSTE leads the strategy, implementation, and continuous improvement of production test systems across vehicle assembly operations. The position partners with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, IT, Maintenance, supplier partners, and Vehicle Engineering Teams to keep systems reliable, effective, and aligned with quality and production objectives. The position is primarily first shift, with occasional off-shift support as needed, and is categorized as onsite at a specific location on a full-time basis.
