Manufacturing Operator | 3rd Shift | Rancho Dominiguez, CA
About The Position
Techmer PM is seeking a Machine Operator for its Rancho Dominguez, California facility. The position operates manufacturing equipment to produce plastic compounds for specialty customer applications. Operators work safely by following standard operating procedures, take part in process measurement, control, and improvement, and learn the operating parameters needed to deliver high-quality, in-specification products. The regular shift is 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM, Monday through Friday. Training may take place on first or second shift, Monday through Thursday. Pay is $21.97 per hour and up, depending on experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of operating an extruder or mixing equipment.
- Ability to learn pre- and post-production equipment and operations, including drying, bagging, and grinding.
- General mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot problems.
Responsibilities
- Operate key manufacturing equipment to produce plastic compounds for customer applications.
- Follow standard operating procedures to protect oneself, coworkers, and the facility.
- Participate in process measurement, control, and improvement in assigned tasks.
- Learn and apply operating parameters to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards.
- Perform responsibilities related to safety, quality assurance, environmental compliance and sustainability, equipment management, process management, interdepartmental communication and coordination, attendance, technical ability, and leadership competencies.
