About The Position

As a member of the Operations team, you will help lead safe, reliable, and efficient shop operations while supporting your team in meeting production goals, improving quality and productivity, and driving continuous improvement across the Generator Cell. This role provides day-to-day production leadership for the Generator Winding shop team to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations. You will coordinate workflow, staffing, and resources to meet customer requirements, production schedules, and key objectives for safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You will lead first-line shop activities across multiple shifts, partnering with Technical Leads, Quality Technicians, and other support functions to ensure smooth execution of work. You will review production orders, execute schedules, and remove barriers that could impact output, quality, or timeliness. You will identify and solve problems, eliminate waste, and drive visual management and Daily Management System discipline across the department. You will analyze equipment, skill, and process issues, take corrective action, and help minimize downtime and disruption to schedules. You will support process improvement efforts and assist the Cell Leader in making decisions that improve repairs execution and resource use. You will perform administrative responsibilities such as time sheet review and approval, labor vouchering, requisitions, and workforce scheduling. You will coach, motivate, and develop team members to strengthen performance, teamwork, safety, quality, and productivity. You will use strong communication and leadership skills to support a positive, accountable, and high-performing team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Associate’s degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in a manufacturing role
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, repair, or services environment.
  • Prior leadership experience in a similar setting.
