About The Position

RTX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Ops Intern for Summer 2027 to contribute to manufacturing process improvement in aerospace and defense. The role is onsite in Melbourne, Florida. The intern will work to improve operator productivity, support manufacturing process and tooling design, contribute to Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, identify cost-reduction opportunities, and plan manufacturing process and equipment layouts. The internship also offers opportunities to learn to develop standard work for production areas, resolve production issues, and use Six Sigma tools. The position is eligible for relocation.

Requirements

Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering throughout the internship session.
Must have earned at least 30 credit hours by the start of the co-op session.
Must be a U.S. Person.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience with CAD software, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

Responsibilities
