Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
  • Minimum of 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of people leadership or technical leadership experience.
  • Strong experience in: Manufacturing processes and production support
  • Engineering change management (ECM/ECN)
  • Nonconformance (NCR) management

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., nuclear, aerospace, or energy).
  • Lean / Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) or Shainin (Apprentice or higher).
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and engineering systems.
  • Knowledge of FMEA, statistical analysis, and reliability engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of manufacturing engineers.
  • Establish engineering priorities aligned with plant KPIs (safety, quality, delivery, cost, growth).
  • Drive a culture of accountability, technical rigor, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Technology, Quality, and Supply Chain to achieve production goals and improve performance.
  • Provide daily shop floor engineering support to resolve technical issues and enable production flow.
  • Own product/process mastery, including documentation, procedures, and technical standards.
  • Lead process improvements to reduce scrap, improve yield, and enhance productivity.
  • Own lifecycle management of manufacturing equipment, including specification, justification, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
  • Lead capital projects supporting capacity, capability, and safety improvements.
  • Ensure proper documentation, training, and maintenance readiness for all new equipment.
  • Lead engineering oversight of NCR disposition, containment, and resolution.
  • Partner with Quality to drive closure of NCRs and systemic corrective actions.
  • Analyze NCR trends to drive long-term quality and process improvements.
  • Own execution of engineering change processes (ECNs), ensuring effective implementation into manufacturing.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment on change scope, risk, and validation.
  • Ensure accurate updates to routers, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives, including waste reduction, process standardization, and visual management.
  • Lead Kaizen events and improvement projects focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Utilize data analytics and KPI tracking to prioritize improvement opportunities.
