About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for leading manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and tooling functions to support safe, efficient, and cost-effective production. This role oversees process development, equipment performance, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring alignment with plant goals across safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Requirements

  • Leadership experience in manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and tooling.
  • Experience in process development and optimization.
  • Knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Experience managing tooling and die operations.
  • Experience leading capital projects (new product introductions, equipment installations, automation, capacity expansions).
  • Understanding of root cause analysis and corrective actions for process capability and product quality.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental standards, including machine guarding and LOTO procedures.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Experience tracking and reporting key performance metrics (OEE, downtime, project execution).
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, and Tooling teams; establish clear expectations and accountability.
  • Own manufacturing processes, including design, optimization, and ongoing performance.
  • Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Manage tooling and die operations, including design, fabrication, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead capital projects such as new product introductions, equipment installations, automation, and capacity expansions.
  • Ensure process capability and product quality through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Drive lean manufacturing, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards, including machine guarding and LOTO procedures.
  • Manage budgets related to engineering, maintenance, tooling, and capital expenditures.
  • Track and report key performance metrics such as OEE, downtime, and project execution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
