About The Position

Blue Origin’s Manufacturing Engineer role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which supports manufacturing and supply chain across its facilities. The engineer applies standard engineering methods to design, develop, and implement manufacturing and production processes for efficient, economical production of aerospace products. The role integrates design requirements into processes and procedures through development of manufacturing methods, tooling, equipment, facilities, and systems, and leads engineering artifacts that support conversion of raw materials into finished products meeting design and system requirements. The engineer also advises design engineering on technical specifications that make effective use of equipment and manufacturing techniques, while ensuring production complies with contract specifications and applicable regulations. This position leads the design and implementation of efficient manufacturing systems, quality control, and supply chain logistics for production operations. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve production timelines, applying advanced technologies and methods to enhance manufacturing and aerospace engineering. The Engines manufacturing team supports propulsion programs and customers. The Huntsville Engine Factory produces BE-4 and BE-3U engines for the New Glenn vehicle, using machining assets and fabrication equipment to build and test engines while improving cost, throughput, and cycle time. The role is based in Huntsville, Alabama. Multiple positions are available, and relocation is available. Travel is expected up to 10% of the time. The listed schedule is Friday through Sunday, 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; another schedule detail in the posting states Friday through Sunday, 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
