About The Position

This Manufacturing Engineer position supports machine troubleshooting, continuous improvement projects, and problem solving on heat exchanger process equipment. The role leads efforts to identify root causes of equipment-related issues, develops technical documentation, and supports process-control and equipment-planning activities. It collaborates with safety, quality, production, and maintenance partners and leads improvement projects that provide technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to resolve quality issues and troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns.
• Experience leading projects and defining scopes of work for maintenance teams.
• Ability to support off-shifts and weekends as needed by the business.

Nice To Haves

• Background in manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, or maintenance.
• Hands-on equipment troubleshooting experience, including familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment drawings.
• Proficiency using SolidWorks.
• Experience working collaboratively in a unionized facility.

Responsibilities

• Lead problem-solving and troubleshooting initiatives to determine the root cause of equipment-related issues.
• Create technical documentation, including job instructions and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Support implementation of process control plans, PFMEAs, spare-part setups, and equipment drawings.
• Communicate with partners outside the work group, including safety, quality, production, and maintenance.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to provide technical solutions to technical problems.
