Relativity Space•Long Beach, CA
•$104,000 - $156,000

About The Position

Relativity Space is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer II to own the application of Paint and Thermal Protection System (TPS) materials from design release through successful installation on the Terran R launch vehicle. The role develops build flows that enable efficient, high-quality processes and support production-rate scaling. The engineer will drive first builds and improve existing product lines through design integration, assembly sequencing, mBOM development, build work-order creation, and specification authoring. They will support production personnel with responsive issue resolution, provide feedback to upstream teams, monitor large-scale part movements, and give clear direction to promote safety. The role also develops manufacturing capabilities to improve process capability, quality, and throughput, while collaborating with Engineering, Build Reliability, Supply Chain, and external partners. The Manufacturing team is responsible for process development, fabrication strategy, and production equipment for Terran R. Its work ranges from factory-floor layout and tooling development to collaboration with vehicle engineering on rocket design.
