About The Position

3M Indianapolis is hiring a full-time Manufacturing Coordinator - Inventory. The position coordinates and carries out inventory processes, including cycle counts and physical inventories at the site and at outsourced locations. The coordinator partners with site employees to support accurate counting methods and reporting. The starting rate is $26.13 per hour, with the potential to reach $32.47 per hour for U.S.-based applicants, plus a shift differential if applicable. New hires receive three weeks of paid vacation, and health, vision, and dental benefits start on day one. The role is based in Indianapolis, Indiana, with no travel and no relocation assistance. Applicants must be at least 18 and legally authorized to work in the country of employment without employment-visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma/GED or higher, completed and verified before starting.
• Six months to one year of related work experience in a manufacturing, production, or similar environment in a private, government, or military setting.
• Flexibility to work schedules, shifts, overtime, and weekends as required by business needs.
• Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without employment-visa sponsorship.
• Pass 3M-selected testing as part of the selection process.

Nice To Haves

• Experience reviewing and analyzing inventory reports, including variance reports and other inventory-related documentation, with a high degree of accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Access.
• Experience using SAP to support inventory management, production, or warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct cycle counts, physical inventories, and other inventory-related processes as required by the business.
• Perform on-site cycle counts and physical inventory counts.
• Assist with physical counts of outsourced inventories.
• Execute virtual transactions for outsourced inventories.
• Partner with site employees to ensure proper counting methods and accurate reporting practices.
• Comply with corporate policies, procedures, and security standards while performing assigned duties.
• Follow safety policies, identify hazards, and engage in continuous improvement to support the company's Environmental Health and Safety culture.
