Requirements

  • Grade 12 diploma
  • Demonstrated competency at Assembler level
  • Knowledge of production and quality systems
  • Ability to read and interpret production prints.
  • Adequate computer skills to access production procedures to perform the required work.
  • Candidate must be able to pass Canadian Controlled Goods Assessment and criminal background check and be compliant with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Exemptions to the Canadian government to grant temporary residents/international students access to their export controlled goods is required and takes a minimum of 2 months from offer acceptance for processing.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-assembly, pairing of rings, rolling elements and cages
  • Creation of assembly lists
  • Review and print off Assembly routers through SAP, required drawings and Assembly lists
  • Measure / document raceway sizes, create inventory labels using applicable software
  • Perform raceway width and split inner ring verifications using required measuring equipment
  • Issue raceway sizes for mating components in production to ensure proper bearing clearances are met.
  • Set up and operate all part/component washing equipment as required.
  • Perform advanced problem solving and troubleshoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards.
  • Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced by process. Monitor production process according to maintenance schedule and perform routine maintenance in timely manner.
  • Required to perform inspection on own work using precision measuring equipment as provided or directed to assess quality of work.
  • Follow and accurately record data as directed or required in routers, IMS and any other production tracking systems.
  • Required to train other operators as needed.
  • May be required to work in other areas of the department or occasionally to set up a process for others to operate.
  • Ability to read and interpret production prints.
  • Requires adequate computer skills to access production procedures to perform the required work.
  • Responsible for excellent housekeeping and maintaining 5S in all areas.
  • Meet the skill requirements identified in the applicable training matrix and maintain certification through company Certified Operator Program.

  • Competitive wages – starting rate: $28.85; top rate: $33.10 per hour + shift premiums)
