Requirements

• Grade 12 diploma
• Must be able to pass Canadian Controlled Goods Assessment and criminal background check.
• Must be compliant with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

• Experience with sandblasting machines.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a minimum of one manually controlled process.
• Perform basic problem solving and troubleshoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards.
• Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced by machine.
• Monitor production process according to maintenance schedule and perform routine maintenance in timely manner.
• Perform visual inspection to verify required surface finish is achieved.
• Follow and accurately record data as directed or required in routers, IMS and any other production tracking systems.
• Required to perform inspection of own work.
• Required to train other operators as needed.
• May be required to work in other departments or, occasionally, to set up a machine for others to operate.
• Ability to read and interpret production prints.
• Responsible for excellent housekeeping and maintaining 5S in all areas.
• Meet the skill requirements identified in the applicable training matrix, and maintain certification through company Certified Operator Program.
