About The Position

The Institutional Antiracism and Accountability (IARA) Project in Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs is hiring a Managing Editor for the Race, Research, and Policy Portal (RRAPP), a free online database of current antiracist research. The Managing Editor will lead the development, editing, and publication of written and multimedia content and oversee a network of student writers, emerging scholars, and practitioners. The role combines editorial leadership, project management, and writer training, translating scholarship into accessible storytelling that supports antiracist practice while maintaining academic rigor and expanding RRAPP’s reach and impact. RRAPP has been active since 2019 and curates scholarship to support historical understanding, ethical reflection, and institutional policy change. Its content is written by paid policy students, and the portal serves researchers, institutional leaders, policy advocates, and journalists. Hosted by IARA and funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Mellon Foundation, RRAPP currently features 159 research summaries from more than 58 journals. This is a one-year term position with a possibility of extension. It is fully onsite at Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey, with an on-campus workspace provided. The position reports directly to IARA’s Associate Director, Alison Pasquariello. The ideal start date is February 1, 2027. Applications must include a cover letter for full consideration. The application deadline is December 21, 2026; two rounds of interviews are planned for January.
