About The Position

The Managing Editor oversees the flow of content from conception through publication across all platforms, with a particular focus on digital excellence. As the newsroom’s most hands-on manager and coach of reporters, the Managing Editor provides ideas, inspiration, and guidance to staff and actively directs the deployment of resources online, on mobile, in email, in print, and on social media.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience with demonstrated success in a top leadership role is preferred.
• Understand the changing media landscape and develop strategies to address market and consumer changes.
• Effective time-management skills.
• Ability to exceed expectations in a results-oriented environment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with InDesign and similar platforms, as applicable.
• Experience using MS Office products such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience using Teams, Webex, Zoom, or related communication platforms.

Nice To Haves

• A BA/BS degree is preferred.
• At least five years of experience with demonstrated success in a top leadership role is preferred.
