About The Position

Acts as direct liaison between Surveillance Room activities and Surveillance leaders and assumes responsibility for the efficient operation of the Surveillance department, in absence of the Director of Surveillance. Establishes operational procedures for the Surveillance department to ensure that all Casino Internal Controls and Illinois Gaming Board regulations are strictly adhered to. Maintains up to date knowledge of changes in operational procedures, gaming regulations and internal controls to ensure that surveillance coverage is optimal. Notifies companies leadership and Illinois Gaming Board agents upon detection of illegal activities. Works closely with the Director of Surveillance to ensure that ample coverage is in place for daily and/or special events at the Casino and Resort. Provides video footage to assist departments in the detection of fraud, insurance claims, employee investigations, and illegal activity. Oversees the management of attendance and time records for the Surveillance department. Provides training/re-training to Surveillance department to ensure the highest levels of skill and knowledge. Select, train, and develop team members through education, training, coaching, and corrective action. Review all Surveillance Incident Reports. Technical ability to operate and work on audio/visual equipment. Assist with performance management of Surveillance team (including but not limited to preparing issues of discipline and performance reviews). Management of staff to include shift scheduling and maintaining proper staffing levels across all shifts. Creates effective and efficient schedules while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives, and ensuring overall coverage mandated by gaming regulations. Review surveillance department actions, personnel and processes with Director of Surveillance. Recruits, interviews, and assists with selection of employees to fill vacant positions in assigned areas. Provides continuous feedback to the Director of Surveillance regarding related issues and makes recommendations for continual improvement. Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as may be assigned by the Director of Surveillance.
