About The Position

This role acts as a direct liaison between Surveillance Room activities and Surveillance leaders, assuming responsibility for the efficient operation of the Surveillance department in the absence of the Director of Surveillance. The position involves establishing operational procedures to ensure strict adherence to Casino Internal Controls and Illinois Gaming Board regulations. The Manager will maintain up-to-date knowledge of operational procedures, gaming regulations, and internal controls to ensure optimal surveillance coverage. This role also involves notifying company leadership and Illinois Gaming Board agents upon detection of illegal activities, working closely with the Director of Surveillance to ensure adequate coverage for daily and special events, and providing video footage to assist departments in detecting fraud, insurance claims, employee investigations, and illegal activity. Additionally, the role oversees the management of attendance and time records, provides training and re-training to the Surveillance department, and selects, trains, and develops team members. The Manager will review all Surveillance Incident Reports, possess technical ability to operate audio/visual equipment, and assist with performance management of the Surveillance team, including preparing disciplinary actions and performance reviews. This position is also responsible for staff management, including shift scheduling and maintaining proper staffing levels across all shifts, creating effective schedules while managing labor costs and meeting staffing objectives. The Manager will review surveillance department actions, personnel, and processes with the Director of Surveillance, recruit, interview, and assist with the selection of employees, and provide continuous feedback and recommendations for improvement to the Director of Surveillance. Duties include assigning duties and examining work for accuracy, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director of Surveillance.
