About The Position

Reporting to the Senior Director, Brand Strategy & Integrated Marketing, this role is part of the broader central marketing team and responsible for the stewardship of all Canada Goose brand social channels at a global scale. Working cross-functionally with key stakeholders from across the business, in addition to external agency partners, the Social Media Manager will oversee the planning and implementation of strategic social media programming in support of the global measurement and KPI framework. This position requires a strong depth of knowledge and expertise working across all key brand social media channels and is able to translate brand, commercial, and community objectives into actionable plans that puts the consumer first. The role understands the interplay of brand and consumer connections across social and how this relationship is unique to each channel. This position requires a passion for creating highly engaging content and a thorough understanding in how to measure its effectiveness through data, insights and reporting.

Requirements

  • 6+ years marketing and social expertise, preferably for a global organization.
  • Deep knowledge of all social platforms that Canada Goose participates in
  • Excellent understanding and interest in the major social media platforms and their best practices, including Tiktok, Instagram, Reddit, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, as well as Line, Wechat, Weibo, Little Red Book.
  • Strong project ownership with confidence in championing a project from A to Z
  • Epic organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once without breaking a sweat
  • Leadership, strategic thinking, analytical and project management skills
  • Strong agency leadership and management skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with external partners throughout all phases of projects.
  • Have finger on the pulse of global trends in both luxury & fast fashion and have as strong passion for culture across all pillars – art, music, fashion, gaming and tech.
  • Solution oriented with a focus on delivering a consumer centric approach
  • Must have a global POV and be able to think outside the box
  • Consistently exhibits Canada Goose’s values, taking pride in being innovative, respectful, passionate, accountable, and entrepreneurial while exhibiting personal commitment

  • Ideally has experience in the entertainment or apparel industry or with a strong understanding of the industry and with diverse backgrounds

Responsibilities

  • Lead a Marketing Specialist in translating brand and marketing objectives into strategic channel plans that align to the Canada Goose brand architecture and established social media playbook
  • Support Canada Goose’s growth across primary and secondary channels, while exploring expansion channels based on brand and consumer opportunity
  • Coach and develop one (1) direct report in their career progression, including ownership over all formal review processes and feedback
  • Manage external agency partner in the ongoing implementation of the CG social media playbook and support Brand team in the development of campaign strategies as it relates to social media requirements
  • Work cross functionally with all marketing lanes, digital, ecomm, and regional teams in providing the appropriate level of both proactive and reactive support across brand social channels
  • Oversee global editorial calendar and work closely with key regional social stakeholders to ensure regional content is accounted for
  • Oversee creative brief for global content for all social media channels (video, imagery and copy) with internal, freelance and / or agency partners
  • Manage the ongoing reporting, measurement and insights of all social media channels and translate these insights into senior-level share outs
  • Manage the budget allocated to the creation and execution of each social media campaign, leading financial forecasts, tracking and reporting to ensure financial objectives are met
  • Proactively contribute creative marketing ideas for social media initiatives and special projects
