About The Position

Vallen's Integrated Supply Site Manager is a staff management position integrated within a customer's location. The manager drives program growth and oversees the day-to-day activities of a team of associates to support positive and profitable customer relationships and contribute to Vallen's financial goals and business objectives.

The role provides leadership to onsite customer teams delivering Integrated Supply solutions, manages staff, and ensures local site sales, profitability, contractual commitments, and payment terms are met. The position also requires responsive service to internal and external customers and may involve working in challenging warehouse and industrial environments.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of outside or inside experience in supply chain management, wholesale distribution, industrial distribution, manufacturing, or a similarly applicable industry.
• Strong ability to develop and cultivate customer relationships.
• Mechanical aptitude and demonstrated ability to recognize manufacturing applications where Vallen products, services, and solutions can deliver customer cost savings.
• Demonstrated financial and business acumen, including the ability to interpret and manage performance against profit-and-loss expectations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and technical aptitude to learn company programs and software applications.
• Ability to work in extreme hot or cold environments and dusty conditions.
• May be required to handle hazardous materials, wear protective equipment, and pass forklift or other warehouse equipment certifications.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds or greater with assistance and regularly stand, walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance.
• Close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of staff management experience, with a proven track record as a team leader and a solid understanding of people management practices.
• Experience in indirect materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to onsite customer teams delivering Integrated Supply solutions.
• Interview, select, hire, coach, counsel, and discipline associates while enforcing company policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
• Manage local integrated supply site profit-and-loss performance to achieve or exceed budgeted sales and profitability goals.
• Drive contractual customer commitments at local sites, including customer cost savings and key performance indicators.
• Provide responsive customer service to external and internal customers.
• Ensure local integrated supply customers pay Vallen according to contractual payment terms.
• Handle and work physical inventory while following standard operating and safety procedures.
