About The Position

Vallen's Integrated Supply Site Manager is a staff management position based at a customer location. The role drives program growth and manages the day-to-day activities of a team of associates to support positive and profitable customer relationships and contribute to Vallen's financial goals and business objectives. The manager leads onsite teams delivering Integrated Supply solutions, oversees local site performance and contractual customer commitments, and ensures customer payments follow agreed contract terms.

Requirements

At least 4 years of experience in supply chain management, wholesale distribution, industrial distribution, manufacturing, or a similarly applicable industry.
Strong ability to develop and cultivate customer relationships.
Mechanical aptitude and demonstrated knowledge of identifying manufacturing applications where Vallen products, services, and solutions can provide customer cost savings.
Demonstrated financial and business acumen, including the ability to interpret and manage expectations based on a profit and loss statement.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and technical aptitude to learn company-specific programs and software applications.
Ability to work in environments that may not be temperature controlled, including extreme heat or cold and dusty conditions.
May be required to handle hazardous materials and wear protective equipment.
May be required to pass forklift and/or other warehouse equipment certifications.
Ability to handle and work physical inventory and lift up to 25 pounds or greater with assistance, following standard operating and safety procedures.
Ability to regularly stand, walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance.
Close, distance, color, and peripheral vision; depth perception; and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

Experience with indirect materials.
At least 2 years of staff management experience, with a proven track record as a team leader and a solid understanding of people management practices.

Responsibilities

Lead onsite customer teams providing Integrated Supply solutions.
Interview, select, hire, coach, counsel, and discipline associates while enforcing company policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
Manage local integrated supply site P&L to achieve or exceed budgeted sales and profitability goals.
Deliver contractual customer commitments, including customer cost savings and key performance indicators.
Provide responsive customer service to external and internal customers.
Ensure local integrated supply customers pay Vallen according to contractual payment terms.
