About The Position

Vallen's Integrated Supply Site Manager is a staff management position integrated within a customer's location. The role drives program growth and manages the day-to-day activities of a team of associates to ensure positive and profitable customer relationships that contribute to the achievement of Vallen's financial goals and business objectives.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in outside or inside roles in supply chain management, wholesale distribution, industrial distribution, manufacturing, or a similarly applicable industry.
• Strong ability to develop and cultivate customer relationships.
• Mechanical aptitude and demonstrated knowledge of recognizing manufacturing applications where Vallen products, services, and solutions can deliver cost savings to the local integrated supply customer.
• Demonstrated financial and business acumen, including a strong understanding of interpreting and managing against profit and loss statement expectations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and technical aptitude to learn company-specific programs and software applications.
• Ability to work in extreme hot or cold environments and dusty conditions.
• May be required to handle hazardous materials and wear protective equipment, such as shoes, gloves, and protective eyewear.
• May be required to pass written and/or driving forklift or other warehouse equipment certifications.
• Ability to work physical inventory and lift up to 25 pounds or greater with assistance, following standard operating and safety procedures.
• Ability to regularly stand, walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance.
• Close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of staff management experience, with a proven track record as a team leader and a solid understanding of people management practices.
• Experience with indirect materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite customer teams providing Integrated Supply solutions.
• Interview, select, hire, coach, counsel, and discipline associates while enforcing company policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
• Manage local integrated supply site profit and loss to achieve sales and profitability goals and meet or exceed budgeted goals.
• Drive contractual customer commitments at the local integrated supply site, including customer cost savings and key performance indicators.
• Demonstrate urgency in serving external and internal customers.
• Ensure the local integrated supply customer pays Vallen according to contractual payment terms.
