About The Position

Vallen's Integrated Supply Site Manager is a staff management position integrated within a customer's location. The role drives program growth and manages the day-to-day activities of a team of associates to ensure positive and profitable customer relationships that contribute to Vallen's financial goals and business objectives.

The Site Manager leads the onsite customer team, manages staffing and performance, oversees site profitability and contractual commitments, provides responsive customer service, and ensures customer payments are made according to contract terms.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in outside or inside roles in supply chain management, wholesale distribution, industrial distribution, manufacturing, or a similarly applicable industry.
• Strong ability to develop and cultivate customer relationships.
• Mechanical aptitude and demonstrated knowledge of identifying manufacturing applications where Vallen products, services, and solutions can deliver cost savings to customers.
• Demonstrated financial and business acumen, including a strong understanding of interpreting and managing expectations using a profit and loss statement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and technical aptitude to learn company-specific programs and software applications.
• Ability to work in extreme hot or cold environments and dusty conditions.
• Ability to handle hazardous materials and wear protective equipment when required.
• Ability to pass forklift and/or other warehouse equipment certifications when required.
• Ability to handle physical inventory and lift up to 25 pounds or greater with assistance, following standard operating and safety procedures.
• Ability to regularly stand, walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance.
• Close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with indirect materials.
• At least 2 years of staff management experience, with a proven track record as a team leader and a solid understanding of people management practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to onsite customer teams delivering Integrated Supply solutions.
• Interview, select, hire, coach, counsel, and discipline associates while enforcing company policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
• Manage site profit and loss to achieve sales and profitability goals and meet or exceed budgeted goals.
• Drive contractual customer commitments at local integrated supply sites, including customer cost savings and key performance indicators.
• Provide urgent and responsive service to external and internal customers.
• Ensure local integrated supply customers pay Vallen according to contractual payment terms.
