About The Position

Vallen's Integrated Supply Site Manager is a staff management position integrated within a customer's location. The role drives program growth and manages the day-to-day activities of a team of associates to ensure positive and profitable customer relationships that contribute to Vallen's financial goals and business objectives.

Requirements

At least 4 years of experience in supply chain management, wholesale distribution, industrial distribution, manufacturing, or a similarly applicable industry.
Strong ability to develop and cultivate customer relationships.
Mechanical aptitude and demonstrated knowledge of recognizing manufacturing applications where Vallen products, services, and solutions can deliver customer cost savings.
Demonstrated financial and business acumen, including the ability to interpret and manage expectations using a profit and loss statement.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and technical aptitude to learn company-specific programs and software applications.
Ability to work in extreme hot or cold environments and dusty conditions.
May be required to handle hazardous materials and wear protective equipment such as safety shoes, gloves, and protective eyewear.
May be required to pass written and/or driving certifications for forklifts or other warehouse equipment.
Ability to handle and work physical inventory and lift up to 25 pounds or more with assistance, following standard operating and safety procedures.
Ability to regularly stand, walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance.
Close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus are required.

Nice To Haves

Experience with indirect materials.
At least 2 years of staff management experience, with a proven track record as a team leader and a solid understanding of people management practices.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership to onsite customer teams delivering Integrated Supply solutions, including interviewing, selecting, hiring, coaching, counseling, and disciplining associates while enforcing company policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
Manage the local integrated supply site's profit and loss statement to achieve or exceed budgeted sales and profitability goals.
Deliver contractual customer commitments at the local integrated supply site, including customer cost savings and key performance indicators.
Demonstrate urgency in providing service to external and internal customers.
Ensure the local integrated supply customer pays Vallen according to contractual payment terms.
