About The Position

Raytheon is seeking a Manager, Scheduling for its Andover, Massachusetts facility. The role requires experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems in a manufacturing environment and applying data-driven decision-making to material and workforce forecasting. The manager works daily with planning, production control, operations, quality, and manufacturing, test, and design engineering teams, as well as programs and business units, to meet organizational goals and customer commitments. The successful candidate builds credibility and influence, aligns operational execution plans with customer deadlines, supply chain strategies, and financial targets, and fosters a working environment that promotes safety, security, compliance, and quality. The position leads and participates in continuous improvement projects and manages a team of Production Control Managers and Professionals. It is an onsite role in Andover, MA and requires U.S. citizenship and an active, existing DoD Confidential security clearance after the first day.

Requirements

A university degree or equivalent experience and at least 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and at least 5 years of experience.
Experience working with Material Resource Planning (MRP) systems or special program access applications.
Experience in Supply Chain, Production and/or Planning Control, Inventory Management, Logistics, Manufacturing, or Capacity Planning.
Experience leading daily team operations or comparable leadership experience.
U.S. citizenship; only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
An active and existing DoD Confidential security clearance is required after day one.

Nice To Haves

Experience with manufacturing tool sets and leveraging information from material receipt through DD250 within a defense contracting organization.
Experience with Foreign Military Sale (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sale (DCS) contracts.
Experience supporting cross-functional teams.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Present and drive metric-based improvements across the Value Stream.
Manage a team of Production Control Managers and Professionals.
Analyze, track, and report material availability; release production orders in the MRP system and confirm them in the shop floor system.
Manage and coordinate kit readiness with cross-functional teams, including BOM, Material Master, Process Engineering, Operations, and Document Control.
Provide production-floor support, including replacement-part management, shop-floor material staging, WIP movement through shared resource areas, completing units in shop-floor and MRP systems, delivering units to the next step, and meeting the MRP schedule.
Control the physical disposition of nonconforming or specially handled material, including returns to vendor, purged material, WIP STOP per contractual restrictions, and configuration of components or subassemblies as required.
Manage coordination and execution of program schedules with Global Supply Chain Management, Subcontracts, Engineering, and other functional areas.
Support efforts to establish and coordinate actions needed to meet customer commitments.
Drive and mitigate accountability across business teams and escalate issues across cross-functional teams.
Complete Estimate at Completion (EACs).
Maintain shop-floor, MRP, and inventory systems through key performance metrics.
Process piece-part movement to support internal build requirements through subcontractors, internal resources, and other Raytheon facilities.
