Manager, Revenue Operations

Arthritis Foundation, Inc•Atlanta, GA

About The Position

The Manager, Revenue Operations owns the accuracy of how financial transactions—including Major Gifts, Planned Gifts, Donor-Advised Funds, Sponsorships, and Direct Marketing—are recorded and tracked in the CRM and connected platforms. The role ensures CRM data consistently reflects revenue activity across major revenue lines so Constituent Strategy & Operations, Community & Development, markets, and national departments can use CRM reporting. It does not oversee organizational financials or accounting and does not own CRM technical implementation or Finance reconciliation functions. The Manager reports to the Director, Data Operations and partners closely with the CRM team and Finance. The position establishes revenue-recording standards; develops and delivers training for staff who record transactions; monitors data quality through audits and issue tracking; and provides reporting to markets and national departments. It also works across departments to support accurate CRM setup for campaigns, appeals, and products, documents processes, and escalates recurring or systemic data-quality issues to the Director, Development Operations for prioritization.

Requirements

  • At least 3–5 years of experience in nonprofit development operations, gift processing, or CRM data administration.
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce NPSP or a comparable CRM and how revenue transactions flow from intake through reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience developing training materials and training non-technical staff on data-entry standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort with data-quality tools, audit processes, and recurring reporting.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to explain data standards to non-technical, cross-departmental audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience partnering with Finance or accounting teams on reconciliation-adjacent work.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit revenue types, including major gifts, planned gifts, DAFs, sponsorships, and direct marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain CRM recording standards for Major Gifts, Planned Gifts, Donor-Advised Funds, Sponsorships, and Direct Marketing, partnering with the CRM team on necessary technical configuration.
  • Build and maintain training materials covering correct transaction coding, timing, and platform-specific requirements across connected systems.
  • Monitor revenue-related CRM data quality through regular audits, identify discrepancies, and track issues through resolution.
  • Produce and deliver regular reporting to markets and national departments on the status of their major revenue lines.
  • Partner with Finance on reconciliation questions related to CRM-recorded revenue without owning the financial close process.
  • Work with the CRM team to turn data-quality findings into system fixes, enhancement requests, or workflow changes.
  • Escalate systemic or recurring data-quality issues to the Director, Development Operations for prioritization against the platform roadmap.
  • Collaborate with Community & Development and other revenue-generating departments to set up campaigns, appeals, and products in CRM to support accurate downstream reporting.
  • Create and maintain documentation of revenue-recording processes and data-quality procedures.
