Collaborates with department Director and other leaders to develop strategic plans, processes and objectives for the team. Supervises Clinical Applications and Imaging IT analysts, which support mission-critical clinical applications used by UCSF physicians and clinical staff. This includes (but is not limited to) Voice Recognition Systems, PACS, Diagnostic and Enterprise Clinical viewers, Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA), Radiant, and other imaging post-processing systems. Collaborates with other UCSF Health IT Systems in developing patient-centric imaging solutions and procedures. Manages Service Delivery to all Imaging IT customers. Supports small project management and maintains good ITIL and SDLC practices. Assists in managing the Imaging IT Application portfolio. Erroneous decisions will have a serious impact on the overall success of the department, division and the organization. The incumbent develops staff to ensure consistent, technology-competent service across all areas of Imaging IT. The applications Imaging IT supports are used by the Medical Center to acquire, store, report, and distribute imaging studies. The incumbent must have expert-level imaging informatics, leadership, and communication skills.
