Come join us and help us build for the future!   Our team is currently seeking a Senior Product Management. This will be a full-time, hybrid role with onsite expectations of 2-3 days per week at our Innovation Center located in Grand Rapids, MI. The Senior Product Manager is responsible for defining and executing the product strategy for the High-Efficiency product category across it’s full lifecycle. This role leads product planning, market analysis, and cross-functional execution to deliver profitable, differentiated solutions that meet customer needs, code requirements, and business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field.
  • 7+ years of full life-cycle Product Management experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Product Management experience in the building material product industry
  • Located within a commutable distance from our Grand Rapids, MI Facility
  • Authorized for work within the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in High-Efficiency Venting space is strongly preferred
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to a non-technical stakeholder
  • Strong understanding of product financial metrics and the ability to develop business cases and ROI analysis for new product initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience reporting to senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Lead their category (High Efficiency Venting) with an ownership mentality utilizing best practices in: Category Management – the complete portfolio and how it serves the relevant channels in their category
  • P&L ownership, which includes category margins (and protecting those margins) and costs
  • Technical understanding of the product and the associated systems
  • High knowledge of the customer – including special knowledge of key customers and how to work best with them
  • In-depth knowledge of the competitors and their value proposition in the marketplace
  • In-Depth Understanding of the Customers in each channel
  • Persona development and journey mapping
  • Problem discovery and validation
  • Voice of customer to be significant driver of decision making and setting direction
  • All of the above through various means, but including getting out with customers
  • Drive strategy and vision of growth starting with an in-Depth Understanding of the customers in each channel.
  • Market projections, gap analyses, SWOT, and other tools to understand current picture and the future
  • Customer and market insights
  • Problem discovery and validation
  • 5 year roadmapping combined with the proper business case analysis to support the initiatives
  • Communication of the vision through story telling and other means
  • Drive the category through good leadership and data. Be able to make a business case for the direction the category should go.
  • Accountability and ownership mindset
  • Be able to pivot to changing markets and leadership’s POV find solutions
  • Help to drive the High Efficiency strategic initiative
  • Initial focus on organic activities/roadmaps that drive growth in this area
  • Play to win – own this important space and develop plans to be the leader
  • Play a consultant role in identifying areas for M&A to help augment those activities
  • Apply business metrics to ideas and pathways within the initiatives
