About The Position

Ticketmaster is seeking an experienced experimentation and product analytics leader to develop and scale a product experimentation practice that informs product decisions and improves the fan experience. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on work: establishing experimentation standards, onboarding and enabling teams, configuring and managing tests in Optimizely, analyzing results rigorously, and turning findings into product recommendations. The position partners with Product, Design, Engineering, Research, and Analytics, as well as stakeholders across the North America Insights and Analytics organization. The work includes identifying testing opportunities, defining digital metrics tied to fan and business goals, analyzing behavior and trends, and combining behavioral, experimental, and qualitative insights to better understand fan needs. The role also builds analytics methods, tools, and self-service resources to support data-informed decisions.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience leading and executing a product experimentation program from hypothesis development and test design through implementation, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Hands-on experience with Optimizely or a comparable experimentation platform, including configuring, quality-assuring, launching, and monitoring experiments.
  • Advanced statistical knowledge, including hypothesis testing, power analysis and sample-size planning, confidence intervals, sequential testing, multiple-comparison correction, and variance reduction techniques.
  • Ability to identify and address experimentation pitfalls, including sample ratio mismatch, peeking, novelty effects, and interaction effects between concurrent tests.
  • Ability to design and run complex product experiments, including A/B and multivariate tests.
  • Advanced proficiency with AI tools and LLMs for analytics work, such as writing and debugging queries, automating recurring analysis and reporting, generating test hypotheses, and summarizing results, with sound judgment to verify output accuracy.
  • Experience with digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Contentsquare.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency and hands-on experience with Databricks and Google BigQuery.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex analytical and experimental findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to partner with stakeholders, understand their needs, build analytical frameworks, and deliver data-driven strategic insights.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with diverse team members, remain curious and intellectually honest, consider diverse perspectives, prioritize high-impact work, manage deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and remain resilient through setbacks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and scale the product experimentation program, including processes, governance, measurement standards, and team onboarding.
  • Serve as the hands-on Optimizely subject-matter expert, including experiment setup, audience targeting, quality assurance, instrumentation validation, and test monitoring.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify testing opportunities and design statistically sound A/B, multivariate, and other experiments.
  • Interpret experiment results, communicate their meaning and limitations, and make recommendations that shape product strategy and roadmap decisions.
  • Work with stakeholders to define and measure key digital metrics tied to fan and business goals.
  • Use data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to improve the end-to-end fan experience.
  • Build analytics tools, methods, and self-service resources that help teams make data-informed decisions.
  • Translate business questions into analytical and experimentation solutions.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and counterparts across the North America Insights and Analytics organization.
  • Partner with Research to combine behavioral, experimental, and qualitative insights into a deeper understanding of fan needs.
  • Coach and enable others to build confidence and skill in experimentation.
  • Use AI tools and LLMs to support analytics work, while checking their output for accuracy.
