The Senior Product Manager, Digital Strategy & Clinical Innovation will play a critical role in shaping the future of Stryker’s Neurosurgical portfolio by developing and executing a digital and AI-enabled strategy across our platforms, services, and procedural ecosystems.This role sits at the intersection of product management, digital transformation, and clinical innovation, driving initiatives that leverage data, connectivity, and software to create new standards of care in neurosurgery. The ideal candidate will partner closely with R&D, clinical affairs, marketing, and external clinical partners to identify emerging needs, develop strategic roadmaps, and bring innovative solutions to market. This individual will also be responsible for developing a commercial model and corresponding financial case for digital platforms that can be scaled throughout the organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 8+ years of professional work experience required

  • 5+ years of experience in medical devices, healthcare technology, or product marketing
  • Experience with digital health, software-enabled medical devices, AI-enabled solutions, or connected technologies strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Digital Strategy & Ecosystem Development Develop and execute the digital strategy for Stryker’s Neurosurgical portfolio, leveraging data, connectivity, and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Partner with digital, engineering, and product teams to define the roadmap for digital platforms including connected devices, clinical applications, and service solutions.
  • Evaluate opportunities across initiatives such as connectivity platforms, fleet visibility, service applications, and digital workflow solutions.
  • Define the business case, launch cadence, and commercialization strategy for digital offerings and software-enabled services.
  • Drive the development of integrated ecosystems that connect neurosurgical technologies, software platforms, and intelligent instruments.
  • Procedural Innovation & Clinical Strategy Defining and driving the NS digital product and platform strategy
  • Developing the digital and clinical data value proposition
  • Shaping the strategy for platform adoption and monetization
  • Leading cross-functional alignment to deliver on the roadmap and drive ecosystem adoption
  • Partner with R&D and portfolio teams to identify opportunities to redefine standards of care across key neurosurgical procedures, including neuro-oncology, functional neurosurgery, spine procedures, stroke management, tumor diagnostics, and hydrocephalus.
  • Leverage frameworks such as Jobs-to-be-Done to identify unmet clinical needs and design innovative procedural solutions.
  • Develop procedure journey maps to identify new opportunities for product, software, and service innovation.
  • Collaborate with clinical partners and key opinion leaders to validate concepts and inform product strategy.
  • Clinical Partnerships & External Innovation Help lead strategic clinical partnerships with leading institutions to accelerate research, data collection, and product innovation.
  • Bridge collaboration between R&D, marketing, and clinical partners to ensure insights from partnerships inform portfolio strategy and development priorities.
  • Engage with key opinion leaders and emerging thought leaders to build long-term innovation partnerships.
  • Partner with Clinical Affairs to support research initiatives, clinical studies, and evidence generation strategies.
  • Portfolio Strategy & Product Management Lead portfolio strategy development and communicate long-term vision to align stakeholders across the organization.
  • Lead the new product development process (NPDP) from concept through commercialization, partnering with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop business cases, financial models, and market opportunity analyses to prioritize innovation investments.
  • Manage product lifecycle activities from launch through maturity and eventual obsolescence.
  • Partner with R&D to anticipate future technology needs and define the strategic assets required to compete.
  • Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights Monitor competitive dynamics, emerging technologies, and healthcare trends impacting the neurosurgical market.
  • Analyze unmet needs and market opportunities to inform product development and portfolio prioritization.
  • Identify new customer segments and tailor marketing strategies to meet current and emerging customer needs.
  • Continuously monitor market penetration, competitive wins/losses, and evolving standards of care.
  • Organizational Leadership Inspire alignment and collaboration across marketing, R&D, clinical affairs, and commercial teams.
  • Represent the voice of the customer through direct engagement with surgeons, hospitals, and sales teams.
  • Participate in surgical observations, labs, and clinical engagements to build deep clinical understanding.
  • Help establish best practices for digital innovation, portfolio management, and strategic business performance analysis.
