About The Position

The New York Philharmonic seeks a Manager, Patron Program to join the Development team. This role leads two key individual giving communities—the Patron Program (individual donors giving $3,000–$24,999) and Young New Yorkers (donors aged 21–45)—supporting donor engagement, events, and fundraising efforts across both programs. This position is well suited for someone who enjoys working directly with donors, managing multiple priorities, and contributing to a collaborative fundraising environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in development, fundraising, or a related field
  • Experience in nonprofit, performing arts, or cultural organizations preferred
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across teams and with external stakeholders
  • Experience working with donor databases (Tessitura preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day coordination of the Patron Program and Young New Yorkers, including donor engagement and stewardship
  • Build and maintain relationships with a portfolio of donors and prospects
  • Support fundraising efforts and donor communications across both programs
  • Plan and support events and experiences for donors
  • Help deliver a strong, welcoming donor experience at concerts, rehearsals, and events
  • Supervise a Development Associate and support overall program coordination
  • Partner across Development on outreach and engagement efforts
  • Support administrative and database tasks as needed
