About The Position

The Manager, Parts Logistics is responsible for leading and optimizing Scout Motors' Aftersales Parts Logistics and Warehouse Operations functions, ensuring the efficient flow of service parts throughout the supply chain while supporting scalable business growth. This role oversees logistics network performance, warehouse operations, packaging management, inventory flow and third-party logistics partnerships. The Manager will drive operational excellence through process standardization, continuous improvement initiatives, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration. Serving as the primary leader across logistics and warehouse operations, this position is accountable for achieving service, cost, quality, safety, and sustainability objectives while developing scalable processes that support Scout Motors' long-term Aftersales strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics, managing third-party logistics providers (3PLs), warehousing, supply chain operations, distribution, or related operational leadership roles.
  • Leadership experience managing teams, suppliers, cross-functional initiatives, and operational functions.
  • Strong understanding of warehousing operations, inventory management, packaging processes, distribution networks, and supply chain optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while driving measurable business results
  • Experience implementing and optimizing ERP, WMS, TMS, and supply chain technology platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in automotive, aftermarket parts distribution, manufacturing, or related industries preferred.
  • German language proficiency is a bonus and will contribute to success in the role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of Aftersales Parts Logistics and Warehouse Operations, including inventory flow, warehouse performance, packaging processes, material handling, and distribution network optimization.
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve logistics efficiency, warehouse productivity, inventory availability, and service performance while balancing cost, quality, and customer satisfaction objectives.
  • Oversee warehouse operations and process management activities, including layout optimization, storage utilization, labor productivity, throughput improvement, safety compliance, and operational standardization.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of packaging strategies to ensure product protection, cost efficiency, sustainability, and operational scalability throughout the distribution network.
  • Establish, monitor, and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, warehouse productivity, order accuracy, dock-to-stock performance, and supplier service levels.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), warehouse service providers, packaging suppliers, and corrugate vendors to ensure contractual compliance, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Procurement, Parts Operations, Service Operations, Finance, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams to align logistics and warehouse strategies with broader business objectives.
  • Lead network analysis and strategic planning activities to support facility expansion, capacity planning, inventory positioning, transportation optimization, and future distribution requirements.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives across logistics, packaging, and warehouse operations by reducing waste, increasing usage of recyclable materials, minimizing transportation impacts, and implementing environmentally responsible business practices.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and business continuity plans to minimize disruptions related to transportation, supplier performance, inventory shortages, packaging materials, and warehouse operations.
