About The Position

The Manager on Duty position at Burke Williams Day Spas is for natural leaders who are creative problem solvers, active listeners, and decisive. This role is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day aspects of the spa run efficiently, safely, and smoothly while delivering exceptional customer service. The Manager on Duty balances operations, team leadership, and individual guest connections.

Requirements

  • Complete Front Desk Training at Burke Williams Training Facility
  • Be able to work in multiple departments (Concierge, Front Desk, Spa Attendant)
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in the hospitality industry
  • Excel at time management and problem solving
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • A passion for attention to detail and anticipating the needs of guests
  • Must be highly motivated and goal-oriented
  • Demonstrate empathy and understanding
  • A desire to work for a company with purpose and serves a greater good

Responsibilities

  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
  • Motivate team members to transform their guests' days, while holding them accountable to Burke Williams standards for performance, dress code, and more
  • Monitor team performance through training and feedback; identify training needs and provide coaching where needed
  • Actively listen to team members' and guests' feedback, resolving any issues or conflicts in a way that is mutually beneficial
  • Recognize and reward high performance for individuals as well as the team collectively
  • Encourage creativity, innovation, and team camaraderie
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the facility is running in a safe and efficient manner including opening/closing, cash reconciliation, balancing schedules, and more
  • Ensure Burke Williams standards are met in every aspect of the spa
  • Inspire the team to go above and beyond to create memorable experiences for their guests
