The primary objective of the Manager on Duty is to assist the Store Director and Assistant Store Director in maintaining a positive work environment for associates and a positive shopping experience for the customer. This role also assists store leadership with planning, coordinating, and managing the store's daily production and operational functions. The emphasis is on providing store supervision, associate assistance and guidance, and planning and execution of daily operations. This position assumes responsibility for entire store operations and related decisions in the absence of the Store Director and Assistant Store Director. Strong supervisory, administrative, and associate relations skills are essential. This position requires ongoing social skills/verbal interaction, judgment/decision making, reading, writing, math, and moderate to heavy lifting. Position functions and work hours may vary according to business needs. Assignments and work direction are provided by the Store Director or Assistant Store Director.
