About The Position

As our Manager on Duty (MOD), you're not just keeping things running—you’re raising the bar on service, safety, and satisfaction for members and teammates alike. You’re the go-to person when it comes to making sure everything at our club runs smoothly, safely, and spectacularly. From opening the doors in the morning to locking up at night, you’re the friendly face, the calm in the storm, the problem-solver-in-chief.

Requirements

  • Leadership skills, including the ability to coach, motivate, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Proactive and helpful attitude, ready to assist at a moment's notice.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to remain calm and confident in various situations.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification within 90 days.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the entire shift.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs (safely).
  • Ability to be on feet for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hospitality, fitness, or fast-paced service roles.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary leader in any emergency situation, including power outages, fire alarms, or pool deck incidents.
  • Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and adherence to high standards across all club departments.
  • Deliver exceptional service to members in all areas of the club, including the fitness floor, front desk, and Kids Zone.
  • Monitor club operations, including equipment, uniforms, customer service, and team coverage.
  • Assist with various operational tasks, such as lifeguarding checks and café walkthroughs.
  • Respond to and manage emergency situations, and complete incident reports.
  • Provide backup or fill in for team members in different departments during absences or breaks.
  • Manage class registration lists and enforce capacity limits.
  • Provide tours for prospective members when the sales team is unavailable.
  • Submit repair requests to ensure all club facilities are well-maintained.
  • Compile and send an end-of-day MOD report.
  • Abide by all policies in the Team Member Handbook.
  • Park in designated team member areas.
  • Assist in maintaining club cleanliness across all areas.
  • Attend mandatory Personal Training meetings.
  • Assist with Service Days, club programs, special events, or activities as assigned.
  • Respond promptly to work-related correspondence.
  • Maintain a positive attitude at all times.
  • Deliver outstanding service to members and guests, following acac’s FiveStar principles.
