This is a two-year, grant-funded position. Continuation beyond the initial term is contingent upon program outcomes and ongoing funding. Rocky Mountain Prep (RMP) is a movement of educators, families, scholars, and advocates committed to changing public education in Colorado by democratizing college access for historically marginalized students and families. RMP operates twelve college-preparatory schools serving students from early childhood through twelfth grade. The Manager of Substance Prevention and Intervention leads Rocky Mountain Prep’s network-wide strategy for student substance use prevention, early intervention, and restorative support across all secondary schools while supporting upstream prevention efforts at elementary campuses. This role oversees systems for referrals, student interventions, family partnership, staff training, and cross-campus implementation to ensure schools respond proactively and effectively to student needs. The Manager also serves as the primary liaison for external counseling and prevention partners, ensuring high-quality services and coordinated care. A key responsibility of this position is managing grant-funded initiatives, tracking measurable outcomes, and ensuring successful execution of prevention programming aligned to organizational priorities. All Members of the Mental Health Team at Rocky Mountain Prep advance the social-emotional, behavioral, and mental wellness of students through strengths-based, culturally responsive, and equity-driven practices grounded in a multi-tiered system of support. They proactively design and implement Tier 1, 2, and 3 interventions that promote safety, belonging, and academic access, while responding effectively to crisis and high-impact student needs. These team members partner closely with families, educators, and community providers to remove barriers to learning, uphold student rights, and ensure compliance with all applicable special education and student services regulations. They use data to inform decisions, coach adults toward best practices, and serve as trusted advocates so that every scholar experiences dignity, connection, and the opportunity to thrive.
