About The Position

The Manager of Operations is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of the distribution system within their territory. The manager leads their team in safety, efficiency, and reliability by promoting and implementing company initiatives and policies. This position supports utility operations, manages budgets and performance, and develops employees and supervisory teams.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Five years of progressive experience in the natural gas industry.
Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with necessary computer-based platforms, including Microsoft Suite and SAP.
Good leadership, development, and team-building skills.
Safe and fiscally sound decision-making abilities.
Working knowledge of ICS.

Nice To Haves

Professional certificates in relevant fields are considered.
Proof of continuing development is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist in establishing the area operating budget for utility operations and manage area performance to meet the budget.
Manage the area maintenance capital budget to use funds effectively while maintaining the integrity of the distribution system.
Assist in measuring and prioritizing area marketing and operating goals in line with area key performance indicator objectives and requirements, and direct operations to meet these goals.
Provide area leadership to encourage interdepartmental communication and cooperation in support of company objectives.
Develop a strong supervisory team and promote individual growth and development among operating section employees.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned, such as serving as a subject matter expert for Standards and PSMS, or participating in cross-functional groups.
