About The Position

The Manager of Operations is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of the distribution system in their territory. The manager promotes and implements company initiatives and policies, leading the team in safety, efficiency, and reliability.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Five years of progressive experience in the natural gas industry.
Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with necessary computer-based platforms, including Microsoft Suite and SAP.
Good leadership, development, and team-building skills.
Safe and fiscally sound decision-making abilities.
Working knowledge of ICS.

Responsibilities

Assist in establishing the area operating budget for utility operations and manage area performance to meet the budget.
Manage the area maintenance capital budget to ensure effective use of funds while maintaining the integrity of the distribution system.
Assist in measuring and prioritizing area marketing and operating goals consistent with area key performance indicator objectives and requirements, and direct operations to meet those goals.
Provide area leadership to encourage interdepartmental communication and cooperation in support of company objectives.
Develop a strong supervisory team and promote individual growth and development among operating section employees.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned, such as serving as a subject matter expert for Standards, PSMS, or cross-functional groups.
