About The Position

The Manager, Neurosciences manages and provides operational leadership to assigned areas of the Medical Foundation and outpatient clinics, supporting organizational goals and initiatives related to patient and team safety, affordability, quality, patient satisfaction, and access. The role plans and organizes operations and resources to support effective, efficient patient care in accordance with applicable laws, standards, and regulations. The manager establishes protocols and practices and ensures compliance with department, affiliate, operating unit, and system standards, policies, and procedures, as well as local and state standards and applicable laws and regulations. The role identifies best practices, works to standardize workflows and processes, and develops plans to implement changes. It also establishes and manages capital and operational budgets to meet financial targets through effective use of personnel, resources, and supplies. The position builds partnerships with internal and external peers, leaders, and government agencies to advance initiatives and resolve issues, and provides guidance or direct intervention in challenging or complex situations. The role is full time, 40 hours per week, with a varied shift and a Monday–Friday schedule. Weekend work is required as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, or a related field; equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree.
Eight years of recent relevant experience.
Extensive knowledge of healthcare operations in a non-acute setting and of how departmental processes and workflows affect other departments.
Comprehensive knowledge of applicable state and federal requirements, state licensing requirements, and other local regulations related to Outpatient Services, including Medicare, MediCal, Medicaid, the Knox Keene Act, and the Starke II Statute.
Ability to build relationships with physicians and medical directors, as well as nursing and other key departments.
Demonstrated leadership, team-building, coaching, and mentoring skills, including the ability to motivate and engage others.
Understanding of operations and workflows.
Tactical and analytical thinking and planning skills, including the ability to develop plans, identify obstacles, and resolve operational issues.
Ability to establish effective working partnerships with employees, peers, physicians, and leaders to achieve business objectives.
Verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle difficult circumstances and make sound business decisions with little direction.
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing business priorities.
