About The Position

The CNA Neurosciences Med Surg role is a Patient Care Technician (PCT) position at Mission Hospital. Working as part of a collaborative nursing team, the PCT supports Registered Nurses by providing hands-on, non-medicated patient care and helping maintain a safe, welcoming environment. The role assists patients with daily needs, mobility, comfort, and personal care, while supporting nurses in monitoring patient conditions and carrying out care plans. The position is eligible for a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Requirements

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in North Carolina.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), to be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked.
Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
