•$97,000 - $198,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Toast is hiring a technically sharp, operationally minded Marketing Operations Manager to own the infrastructure behind its paid media program. The role is the technical owner of paid media’s signal path, ensuring campaigns are accurately tracked and enabling media buyers to focus on performance. It spans tracking and pixels, campaign setup, audiences and conversions, integrations, data pipelines, monitoring, and reporting infrastructure. The manager partners with the Paid team on requirements and carries them across teams and systems. The position manages paid-media tracking and audience data across advertising platforms; marketing automation and CRM integrations; campaign naming and QA governance; and the data operations that support audience syncs and performance dashboards. It also develops launch playbooks, maintains a monitoring and audit cadence, and improves launch speed and data issue detection. Toast describes a hybrid work model that supports in-person collaboration while recognizing individual needs. Office expectations vary by region. The position’s base salary range varies by geographic pay zone: Zone A, $124,000–$198,000; Zone B, $108,000–$173,000; and Zone C, $97,000–$155,000. Starting salary depends on skills, experience, and geographic location. Total rewards may also include overtime, bonus or commissions if eligible, equity, and benefits.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in marketing operations, ad tech, or marketing analytics.
  • Experience managing infrastructure for paid spend of $10 million or more annually across at least 3 advertising platforms.

  • Experience with a marketing automation platform such as Marketo or HubSpot.
  • Experience with CRM systems and lead routing logic, such as Salesforce or an equivalent.
  • Experience managing data pipelines and integrations through Hightouch or similar ETL tools.
  • Strong UTM governance and tracking QA experience across multichannel paid campaigns.
  • Track record as an embedded technical partner to a Paid or growth team, proactively driving requirements rather than waiting for tickets.
  • Ability to troubleshoot data discrepancies and communicate findings to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and a bias toward process and documentation.
  • A sense of humor.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with TikTok or other emerging ad platform integrations beyond Meta and Google.
  • Prior experience in an embedded operations role supporting a paid media team.

Responsibilities

  • Own the paid media signal path across tracking and pixels, program and campaign setup, audiences and conversion APIs, and the Control Tower; partner with Paid on requirements and coordinate them across teams.
  • Manage event tracking, conversion signals, and audience data flows across ad platforms, including offline conversion tracking and server-side tagging.
  • Manage and optimize Marketo paid program setup, scoring, audience segmentation, and ad platform integrations.
  • Manage CRM audience syncs and data pipelines between source systems and ad platforms using ETL systems.

  • Build and maintain launch playbooks for new vendors, channels, and tests; own time-to-launch as a core metric and work to reduce it.
  • Own Paid’s coverage in the Control Tower alerting suite; publish and follow a QA cadence of daily monitors, monthly tests, and quarterly audits, and reduce time-to-detect data issues.
  • Maintain and QA data pipelines feeding performance dashboards so campaign, lead, and conversion data is accurate and available for stakeholder reporting.
  • Build, maintain, and refresh CRM-based audience lists for suppression, retargeting, and lookalike seeding across ad platforms.
