About The Position

Affordable Home Furnishings is hiring a motivated leader for its Fast Track Store Manager program. The role is intended for someone with retail, sales, or rent-to-own experience who wants to develop into a Store Manager. The employee will learn the business by working directly with experienced managers, with openings starting in Beaumont, Port Arthur, or Orange. Relocation may be required for advancement, most likely to one of the company’s three Southeast Texas locations. Training covers sales and collections, inventory, deliveries, team leadership, and daily store operations. The position provides a path toward managing an individual store location.

Requirements

Sales experience required.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Ability to assist with lifting and moving furniture and appliances.

Nice To Haves

Retail management experience preferred.
Collections or account management experience preferred.
Rent-to-own experience is a major plus.

Responsibilities

Learn and perform all aspects of store operations.
Handle sales, collections, and service on a route while learning the company’s system.
Lead by example in sales and customer service.
Help manage customer accounts and collections.
Train and motivate team members.
Set up and maintain showroom displays.
Assemble new merchandise.
Clean and refurbish previously rented merchandise.
Monitor inventory and merchandise flow.
Assist with deliveries, pickups, and warehouse operations when needed.
Help recruit, coach, and develop employees.
Work toward managing a store location.
