About The Position

The Manager II GBD Special Programs supports the development, implementation, and coordination of comprehensive health care programs that identify members' physical health, behavioral health, and social service needs. The role supports special products and programs such as long-term services and supports (LTSS), Foster Care, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and HIV/AIDS.

This field-based role primarily operates in the field, traveling to client sites or designated locations as required, with occasional office attendance for meetings or training. Candidates must be within a reasonable commuting distance of the posting location(s), unless an accommodation is granted as required by law.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree (BA/BS) and a minimum of 6 years of experience, including prior management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

• Service delivery coordination, discharge planning, or behavioral health experience in a managed care setting.
• RN, LSW, or LPN/LVN license.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee program operations in support of corporate and health plan management.
• Collaborate with functional managers to develop and implement steps for managing program operations.
• Participate in cross-functional workgroups to maintain and develop the program.
• Evaluate program operations to improve operational efficiency, financial return, customer service, and provider engagement.
• Develop, communicate, and monitor program schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Manage resource utilization to support appropriate member care delivery and adequate coverage of departmental tasks and responsibilities.
• Hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate the performance of direct reports.
