Manager II GBD Special Programs (US)
About The Position
The Manager II GBD Special Programs supports the development, implementation, and coordination of comprehensive health care programs that identify members’ physical health, behavioral health, and social service needs. Programs may include long-term services and supports (LTSS), Foster Care, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and HIV/AIDS. This field-based role is located in Wisconsin and involves travel to client sites or designated locations as needed, with occasional office attendance for meetings or training. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the posting location unless a legally required accommodation applies. The position directs program operations, partners with functional managers, monitors program performance and resources, and manages direct reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) and at least 6 years of experience, including prior management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in service delivery coordination, discharge planning, or behavioral health in a managed care setting.
- RN, LSW, or LPN/LVN license.
Responsibilities
- Directs and oversees program operations in support of corporate and health plan management.
- Collaborates with functional managers to develop and implement steps for managing program operations.
- Participates in cross-functional workgroups to maintain and develop the program.
- Evaluates program operations to improve efficiency, financial return, customer service, and provider engagement.
- Develops, communicates, and monitors the program schedule, budget, and resource plan.
- Manages resource utilization to support appropriate member care and adequate departmental coverage.
- Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates the performance of direct reports.
