About The Position

The IBR-A Component Repair & Replacement (CR&R) group is recognized as one of the leading organizations in the US for replacement, repair, and long term asset management of nuclear power plant components. We design, fabricate, and install major replacement Nuclear Steam Supply System components and new components for the next generation of nuclear reactors. We are looking for talented and ambitious professionals to join our team as we continue to upgrade and transform the nuclear power fleet to provide clean, carbon free energy to the world. This full-time role is about making an impact on people's lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your leadership experience and technical skills to lead an innovative team and make a difference for our customers and your team. As the Product Line Manger of the Component Repair and Replacement team in Lynchburg, VA, you will have P&L ownership for the business. You will be responsible for resource planning of your team, technical oversight of team members and project related deliverables, and meeting project and management expectations in both on time delivery and quality. You will interface with Component Engineering, Tooling and Welding Engineering team management as required to ensure project readiness for implementation and milestones are being met. Your work will support both the existing operating fleet as well as the many exciting new opportunities in New Nuclear (SMR, AR & Plant Restarts). Example projects include replacement of large components (steam generators, feedwater heaters, etc.), installation of integrated head assemblies, weld repairs to existing NSS components, and reactor internals and bolting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Minimum of 12 years related experience or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Technical expertise in nuclear plant maintenance.
  • Ability to set strategy and vision for medium to large size organization.
  • Deep understanding of NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with all levels of staff and management, vendors and customers.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through managers/supervisors.
  • Good problem identification and problem resolution skills.

  • Monitors resource planning and direct prioritization of projects to ensure the timely execution of engineering activities.
  • Provide technical oversight of team members and deliverables.

  • Supports OpEx initiatives.
  • Works with sales team to develop scope and provide inputs to proposals.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and other internal stakeholders as required.
  • Ensures effective performance of field implementation.
  • Ensures adherence to government, organization and customer engineering standards and procedures.
  • Maintains a healthy technical conscience within the team.
  • Monitors goals, objectives and standards of performance for assigned team members.
